Laila Payne, who recently completed her sophomore year at Houston Carnegie Vanguard High in Texas and representing Track Houston Youth Track Club, won the women's 15-16 division 400-meter hurdles title in 59.81 seconds at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Payne also contributed a 54.63 split on the anchor leg for Track Houston Youth Track Club to capture the 15-16 division 4x400-meter relay crown in 3:46.87.
