Braelyn Baker, who recently completed her junior year at Bear Creek High in Washington and representing Redmond Sprint Club, won the women's 100-meter dash title in the 17-18 division by an 11.762 to 11.768 margin against Iyonna Codd of Las Vegas Centennial High and Nevada Track at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Baker returned to the track less than 20 minutes later to also capture the 17-18 division crown in the 400-meter hurdles in 59.20 seconds, her third championship of the meet, along with the 17-18 division 200-meter title in a wind-aided 23.42 seconds.
